Had a busy little weekend so wasn’t up to blogging that much.

Anyways…here’s a new photo from my collection.

It was a cloudy summer day and when I looked up in the sky, well the clouds looked like a squirrel to me so I took a snap of it.  Kinda silly what you mind makes you think about when you see stuff in the sky. :P

I was looking for a recipe for carrot cake (my mom makes one that’s delicious!! but that’s small wonder, she’s a good cook) and I stumble across a site that like a library of baking recipes.

Thought I share it here : it’s called the Joy of Baking.

Carrot cake @ Joy of Baking

I love to cook and bake and what not (especially dessert! LOL) so I just love this.

One of my friends here makes exquisite chestnut cake…! Hmmmm…

It’s snowing again here.

Quite unusual to see snow again in winter this year since last year not one flake stayed on the ground.

But I like snow, when all the surrounding is covered in white blanket…is just so “peaceful”, innocent even.

The only thing that bothers me is the cold… :P

Hehehe. You can’t have snow it it ain’t cold so have to live with it I guess.

This photo was taken a few months back when I was visiting the Orsay Museum in Paris.

The view on the background is the Sacré-Cœur.

I was just playing with my camera when I took this photo…

Wonder if you can guess what it is…? ;)

I haven’t been quite busy but my computer was.

Let me explain. I upgraded my OS from Vista to 7. So after I upgraded my OS, I thought that I should do a whole system defragmentation. I just thought that I would take the whole night but apparently my computer had a whole other idea.

I launched my defrag program at 3 am Saturday and it finished the the whole thing on Sunday morning…LOL.

Hmm…

The week seems to start pretty slowly. I just hope it doesn’t change into a hectic, sleep deprive one in the following day.

Well today, I’ve been trying to decipher decree for the price of selling electricity produce by photovoltaic systems. The pricing is quite simple enough :

  1. 58 c€/kWh for a system totally integrated  into a building such as a house, school or hospital ;
  2. 50 c€/kWh for a system totally integrated into a building other than those cited above ;
  3. etc.. etc.. simple enough as I said…

Then comes the criteria in which a system is defined as a totally integrated or partially integrated…for me a non-native French speaker, it’s like reading the same thing on and on and on. I could hardly make any sense out of it (well some of them makes sense until they start putting exceptions to this and that…typical French standards). Anyway, to make things short I found a site where they summarized the decree and…well it’s an easier read than the decree itself (thank you who ever you are!!).

Vive Internet et les foums!!

Even with the summarize version, to me it’s still not crystal clear on what system is to be declared fully integrated and which system is partially integrated. If you ask all the manufacturers of course they’ll support that their system is a fully integrated system. I think a serious guideline should be publish on these criteria because at the moment things just look muddy to me.

So today, 30 years ago, my big sister was born.

17th January.

Sorry I’m not there to celebrate with you.

Hope you have a great time!

Thought I’ll post some photos form my large variety of albums I’ve managed to fill as my new photo of the week post every Sunday. I’ll try to keep it up as long as I can… :P

You know me, blogging is not one of my strong points. ;)

Have you ever tried to take photos of a monument and it just never turned out like you wanted it to? Either it’s too big or too small in the picture.

Well I tried something else when I took this photo. I took several photos and paste them up together to form this.

The problem is that you can always forget to take one part of and the photo looks incomplete some how. It was taken a few years back, can’t really remember when. I’ll try again when I have the chance…

It’s that time of the year again!

Yes it France’s Winter Sale season. (Well it started like weeks ago but hey…better late than never!)

In France since 2008 (I think…) the date of the sales period is fixed and uniformed by the government.  This year’s winter sales starts from the 6th January to 9th February. Honestly, I still haven’t got time to go out and look around (not even window shopping). Can you imagine that. LOL.

I was thinking of buying a vest but I just can’t find one that I like.

This one is from Hugo Boss, I just love it but of course I can’t afford it. :P

It’s made out of wool (perfect for this season) and on sale of course, -30%… Urgh I wish I had my old job contract rather than this short term one.

Actually those pants might look good on me too. LOL.
